Open-source collection of 45+ AI agent skills for marketing, CRO, SEO, copywriting, analytics, and growth, built for Claude Code, Cursor, and any Agent Skills-compatible agent.
What it does
Marketing Skills is an open-source collection of 45+ markdown-based AI agent skills for marketing tasks, built by Corey Haines. It gives Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, OpenAI Codex, and any Agent Skills-compatible agent specialized knowledge in CRO, copywriting, SEO, analytics, paid ads, and growth
Most AI coding agents have no marketing domain knowledge by default. Marketing Skills fixes that by injecting battle-tested frameworks directly into the agent's context, so it applies the right playbook without you explaining CRO or cold email best practices from scratch every session.
Marketing Skills is a GitHub repository of 45+ markdown files, each teaching an AI agent a specific marketing discipline. The skills are organized into seven clusters: SEO and content, CRO, copy and content creation, paid and measurement, growth and retention, sales and GTM, and strategy. Per the README, product-marketing is the mandatory foundation, every other skill reads it first to understand your product, audience, and positioning before doing anything else.
Each skill file is a structured markdown document that the agent loads into context when a relevant task is detected. Skills cross-reference each other: copywriting pulls from cro and ab-testing; revops chains to sales-enablement and cold-email; seo-audit connects to schema and ai-seo. This dependency graph means the agent gets compound, not siloed, expertise.
Installation is one command. You can pull the full library or cherry-pick specific skills:
npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills
npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills --skill cro copywriting
The skill roster covers a broad surface: ab-testing, ads, ai-seo, analytics, aso, churn-prevention, cold-email, competitor-profiling, directory-submissions, lead-magnets, paywalls, pricing, programmatic-seo, public-relations, referrals, revops, schema, sms, video, and more. Few other open skill sets span from schema markup to SMS drip campaigns in one repo.
The skills are only as useful as the agent that loads them. An agent that ignores or poorly applies markdown context will get limited mileage. The repo also requires that your agent runtime supports the Agent Skills spec, per the README.
Marketing Skills is the fastest way to give any compatible AI coding agent a working knowledge of modern growth and marketing practice. Technical marketers and founders who already live in Claude Code or Cursor gain the most: instead of prompting marketing theory each time, they get an agent that already knows the playbook.

Marketing Skills is a GitHub repository of 45+ structured markdown files that teach AI coding agents specialized marketing knowledge and workflows, built by Corey Haines. Unlike a prompt library you paste manually, these skill files are loaded into the agent's context automatically when a matching task is detected, and they cross-reference each other to deliver compound expertise across disciplines like CRO, SEO, and cold email.
Install via npx using the command `npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills` to pull the full collection, or add `--skill cro copywriting` (and other skill names) to install only specific ones. You can also run `npx skills add coreyhaines31/marketingskills --list` to see all available skills before installing. The README notes this works with Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, Windsurf, and any agent that supports the Agent Skills spec.
Yes, Marketing Skills is fully open-source and released under the MIT license, per the repository. There is no cost to install or use the skill files. Installation relies on npx, which requires Node.js but no paid account or API key.
It is best suited to technical marketers and founders who already use AI coding agents like Claude Code or Cursor and want those agents to apply marketing best practices without manual prompting each session. The skill set spans CRO, copywriting, SEO, paid ads, analytics, lifecycle email, pricing, churn prevention, and more, making it especially valuable for solo builders running growth and marketing from the same agentic workflow.
Per the README, the product-marketing skill is the shared context layer that every other skill reads first to understand your product, audience, and positioning. This means skills like `cro`, `copywriting`, or `cold-email` tailor their output to your specific product rather than producing generic advice. Setting it up correctly before using other skills is described as the key prerequisite for the system to work as designed.
The skills require an agent runtime that supports the Agent Skills spec, so they will not function in environments that do not load markdown context files. Skill quality and freshness depend on community contributions and repository maintenance. Additionally, an agent that poorly applies or ignores loaded context will see limited benefit regardless of skill quality.
